A graduate of Southern University and A&M College, Dr. Crawford Johnson developed a strong foundation in leadership, civic engagement, and community service. She later earned her doctoral degree from Virginia University of Lynchburg, further strengthening her commitment to education, research, and public impact.
Professionally, Dr. Crawford Johnson has experience in emergency management, flood mitigation, and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities initiatives. Her work has focused on helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters while promoting long-term resilience and sustainability.
She has remained committed to helping underserved populations, advocating for equitable access to services, and addressing barriers that disproportionately affect disadvantaged individuals and families. Her interests in social welfare policy, public policy, and community development reflect a deep desire to create meaningful change through programs and policies that uplift people.
