Meet Lael Montgomery, Collins The Brand’s Community Voice
Collins The Brand is proud to welcome Lael Montgomery as its Community Voice, bringing public service experience, local leadership, and a grounded community perspective to the platform’s growing lineup of storytellers.
Montgomery is a former councilman from Zachary, Louisiana, with experience in local government, civic leadership, and community advocacy. His background gives him a close understanding of the neighborhoods, families, leaders, and institutions that shape everyday life across communities.
As Community Voice, Montgomery will focus on the people and places that often define a community’s strength but may not always receive the spotlight they deserve. His coverage will include neighborhoods, local leaders, nonprofits, faith spaces, schools, families, events, and everyday people doing meaningful work.
Collins The Brand believes community stories deserve the same care and attention as major headlines. Montgomery’s role will help ensure local voices, community concerns, and grassroots efforts are documented with purpose, respect, and authenticity.
His experience as a public servant allows him to bring context to issues involving local leadership, neighborhood needs, civic responsibility, and community progress. He understands that real change often begins close to home, in council chambers, churches, schools, community meetings, family spaces, and neighborhood gatherings.
As Community Voice, Montgomery will help Collins The Brand tell the stories that remind people where power, service, and progress often begin: inside the community itself.
Through his voice, Collins The Brand continues its mission to amplify, empower, and inform by shining light on the people, places, and stories that move communities forward.
