15-Year-Old Aiden Griffin’s Lemonade Stand Is Community

By Eugene Collins Jr. | Editor’s Voice | Collins The Brand

Anybody who really knows me knows I live in community. I spend a whole lot of time there because, truthfully, it is the only place I have ever really felt at home.

Every day, while moving through community, I pass my young 15-year-old buddy, Aiden Griffin. All summer long, Aiden has been on the corner selling lemonade, raising money for school clothes and a scooter.

That may sound simple to some, but it says a lot. Aiden is not asking for a handout. He is not looking for trouble. He is working, staying focused, and doing something positive with his time.

In a season when we hear so much about young people making the wrong choices, Aiden is making the right one every single day. That deserves to be celebrated.

I salute his parents, his family, and his circle. They clearly raised a respectful, hardworking young man who understands pride, purpose, and effort.

Community is not just a place. Community is who we show up for.

So let’s show up for Aiden.

To support Aiden Griffin, call or text him at (225) 252-5175 and get you a cup of Aiden’s lemonade. To simply support his hustle, send something to his Cash App at $aideng1610.
