Rubia Garcia: Louisiana’s 100-Day Sprint
By Dr. Mia Crawford Johnson | Political Voice | Collins The Brand
Louisiana is entering a critical political stretch, and Lindsay “Rubia” Garcia says silence is not an option.
Speaking during the No Silence Teaching Voter Tour, Garcia described the statewide effort as a mass mobilization campaign focused on voter education, participation, and preparing communities for the midterm elections.
Garcia is traveling with the Louisiana Democratic Party and Jamie Davis for U.S. Senate, with plans to visit 18 cities across the state. The tour comes as candidates prepare for August qualifying in congressional races that were canceled earlier this year, including Garcia’s own campaign.
“We have 100 days before the midterms,” Garcia said. After qualifying, candidates will face a three-month sprint toward Election Day.
But the tour is not just about campaigning. It is also about listening, educating, and building stronger connections with voters.
Garcia said the Shreveport stop was packed, with every chair filled and people standing around the room. That turnout reflects a growing hunger for information and meaningful political engagement.
As a self-described Louisiana history nerd, Garcia said she is excited to travel the state, meet voters, and help communities understand what is at stake.
Her message is clear: elections are not won by candidates alone. They are shaped by informed voters who are willing to organize, participate, and make their voices heard.
Louisiana has entered the sprint. Now, voters must decide whether they are ready to move with it.
