Jamie Davis: The Tour Continues

After a strong opening week, Jamie Davis says the No Silence Teaching Voter Tour is just getting started.

This weekend, Davis will again join the Louisiana Democratic Party and congressional candidate Lindsay “Rubia” Garcia as the tour continues its mission of voter education and civic engagement across Louisiana.

The next leg will stop in Opelousas, Lafayette, and Lake Charles, bringing voter information directly to communities ahead of this fall’s critical elections.

For Davis, the message remains clear.

“We want to make everybody in Louisiana aware,” he said. “We want to get them registered to vote and provide voter education because it’s important that we get out and vote.”

As Louisiana moves closer to the midterm elections, Davis believes every conversation matters. The tour is designed to meet voters where they are, answer questions, and encourage stronger participation in the democratic process.

He also warned that civic engagement cannot be taken for granted.

“We’re seeing people stripped of their rights every single day,” Davis said. “They’re not stopping. They’re coming after us, and we’ve got to get it done.”

That urgency is driving the No Silence Tour from city to city, connecting with residents one conversation at a time.

With another weekend of community stops ahead, Davis hopes more Louisianans will take the opportunity to learn about the issues, register to vote, and help shape the future of the state.
